Alderman Maurice Devenney (born 28 May 1958) is a British politician formerly of the Democratic Unionist Party who previously represented Foyle in the Northern Ireland Assembly. Hugh (Gus) Hastings was first elected to Derry City Council to represent the Rural ward in 2011, regaining his seat in the new amalgamated council in 2014. In 1989 he was elected to Strabane District Council.[1] In 2007 he was elected Chairman of the council.
